"Priority-2030" is the Federal Program for Strategic Academic Leadership, which is aimed at developing world-class research in priority areas of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of Russia. The program's goal is to provide conditions for the effective use of fundamental and exploratory scientific research results to create innovative products and technologies, that ensure the technological independence of the Russian Federation and the business export potential.
Two strategic projects are being implemented at the Institute of Chemical Engineering within the framework of the "Priority 2030":
Materials and technologies for hydrogen and nuclear energy
The strategic project's goal is to ensure global excellence in the creation of materials and technologies for hydrogen, renewable and nuclear energy.
Research is aimed at obtaining new functional materials with high performance characteristics, which will form the basis for new technologies and devices for nuclear, hydrogen and renewable energy that meet modern challenges and priority areas of the Russian Federation.

Design and technology of functional materials and systems
The strategic project's goal is to achieve a leading position in the field of creating organic and hybrid functional materials and technologies for the diagnosis and therapy of socially significant diseases, monitoring living and technical systems, monitoring and improving of the environment, as well as staffing the scientific sphere, high-tech industries and health care.
The project provides for a cycle of interrelated fundamental and applied research, ranging from the directed design of promising organic and hybrid materials to the development of convenient technologies for practical application. The research' goals is to reach high-tech products and devices for maintaining health, improving the quality of human life, monitoring and improving the state of the environment.
